Located in Crown Heights Brooklyn, this project will enlarge an existing two-family house by adding a third unit to the roof and lengthening the structure. The intent of the project is to maintain the existing character of the townhome and overlay a new textured bulk on top and in the rear. Along the street, the addition leans back from the street and in the rear, terraces are carved into the extension for private outdoor space. The additional bulk is intentionally in contrast with the materials and feel of the existing house through the use of corrugated metal panels.
