This wood-wrapped beach box is sited on a compact lot, designed to maximize ocean views and encourage a harmonious connection with Fire Island. The house blends clean lines, warm wood textures, and expansive glass, creating an inviting and serene living environment. The carefully designed home incorporates a solid-void massing strategy where each corner of the house hosts an in-between, or inside/outside, program space. These areas are designed as serene retreats to relax, entertain, and soak in the beach atmosphere. Clad in a traditional fire island cedar siding, the beach house features multiple outdoor living spaces, including open decks, screened porches, and a large rooftop deck where you are presented with an expansive ocean and bay panorama.
