This 1900’s brownstone is located on President Street in Carroll Gardens. Many of the original details were removed over years of renovations. The new design keeps in mind traditional brownstone spaces and reveals them for a family-oriented light-filled space. The gut renovation provided new plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems to the home. The bright parlour floor received a new rear steel window wall to let lots of northern light into the home. The house also received a new rear deck as an extension of the dining and kitchen spaces. The largeness of the steel-framed window wall allows the deck and rear yard space to become an extension of the apartment’s living space.
