This 1000sf apartment renovation is a complete gut of a second-floor, corner apartment in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Facing west, with wonderful afternoon light and a terrace, the architecture becomes a series of design insertions into the space to organize and define cooking, eating, sleeping, and living items. The desire for a modern and contrasting material palate is achieved through the use of simple baltic birch plywood, blackened steel, and charred Cypress millwork paneling.
